Pollution in the Piedmont , a small reportage - Inquinamento in Piemonte, un piccolo reportage

A bomb ready to explode is hidden for over thirty years in Serravalle Scrivia, near Alessandria (Italy). For years pollutants were buried illegally on an area of 70,000 square meters, just steps away from a river that supplies an aqueduct serving approximately 100,000 people. The Italian Government has not enough money to remove pollutants: therefore, along the perimeter of the landfill it will be built a wall to prevent the acid sludge ending up in the river. Then the whole area will be closed with a sarcophagus in concrete. To remind us that some mistakes are forever.
